A leader is the one who produces change in society, generally for the better. So leadership is not positional, but functional. In the midst of voluminous and often conflicting ideas about material possessions, right leadership can prevent organizations from succumbing to ‘poverty on the one hand and luxury on the other'.

Most often to achieve the desired change in society, one has to get the people to follow him. Therefore, leadership should have and cast vision following it, selling it, giving directions with it and doing it all with openness and transparency.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

P K D Lee worked as a Mechanical Engineer in the Indian Railways in various capacities for 20 years. Worked for 20 years with Haggai Institute in the Alumni Relations Department which later became the International Advancement department.

Lee has specialized in Christian Leadership and has taught that subject for 20 years with Haggai Institute. Has also been teaching on Christian Stewardship, Resource Mobilization and on Generosity as an essential response to the gospel.

Lee is now retired and settled in Chennai. As a part of his ministry, he leads Bible Studies and Teaches on Leadership, Stewardship, Fund Raising and Generosity, Conducts theological classes online using Tee, Volunteer with Global Media Outreach, assists Ministry Fund Raising network, Glove Society and ICGM.

He is affiliated to Powerhouse Church, Tambaram.
